The ideal candidate would possess the following skill sets:

- Knowledge of products required
- Automotive/fabricating/electronical/electronics/construction trades/technical experience an asset
- Capable of reading and writing instructional plans
- Designing and building projects of different mediums
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and make necessary adjustments on equipment
- Customer service experience an advantage
- Clean Driver’s abstract and valid driver’s license
Responsibilities:
- Repair, maintenance and installation of all mobility and accessibility equipment for vehicles and homes
- Fabrication on items unique to medical equipment industry is required
- Quality control checks done on all repairs
- Ensure paperwork filled out for each installation and service call
- Working in various environments such as outside during the winter or in client homes
- Outside service calls are required as well as some overnight travel
- Safely operate provided company vehicle as well as maintenance
- Includes travel to various facilities as necessary to provide services and attend training as required
- Protect company assets
- Attend training, seminars and conferences pertaining to home medical equipment. These expenses will be covered by the organization and may include travelling outside of Canada
Minimum Education and Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Technician for home medical equipment preferred
- Current manufacturer certificates (Ex. Arjo Huntleigh, RAM, Harmar, Bruno, etc.)
- Product knowledge considered an asset
- Customer service experience
Schedule and Compensation
- Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours)
- Salary will be based on level of experience in the home medical equipment industry as a Technician
